No New Posts   An Associate's degree in paralegal studies in 10 months?

November 8, 2013

I started Lakewood College on May, 27 2013. I am in the VA VRAP program after suddenly becoming unemployed, and wanting to change career paths. By joining the VRAP program a bit late in the beginning I only have a 10 month benefit to complete an Associate's Degree. After enrolling at Lakewood College I set up a metric of how I am going to get through these courses before my VA benefit runs out. So far I am on pace of my goal; I am in my 3rd semester working diligently away everyday sometimes putting in 10-12 hours a day if I miss a day of studying. Most days I spend about 6-7 hours at a public library surrounded by books and my laptop in some corner. Working from home just doesn’t seem like much of an option with all the distractions. By the first week of December I hope to be in my fourth (and thankfully last) semester optimistically hoping to be able to slow my study pace down a bit. With the pressure I have put myself in. My grades are all A’s except for one B for a 3.9 GPA. I just wanted to reach out to fellow students, and see if anyone else is attempting to complete anything this crazy.
